If you’ve never been to a local strawberry festival, then
you’re missing out on a piece of American culture. Many of them are small town
or regional events and far from major cities. Others like Florida's Strawberry Festival are larger events
that draw significant crowds. I personally haven’t been to one in years but
used to go to the one in Ovid
when I lived in Binghamton, NY.
These are great day or weekend trips for families. These
festivals will feature strawberries and everything that can be made with them.
So there’s plenty of fun food to eat. But many of them will also have rides,
music, pageants, and other fun activities. If the weather is nice, these
festivals are really a lot of fun.
