Wine Tasting Day Trips
This week's NY Times article On Long Island, a Case for Respect reminded me how much fun it is to go wine tasting as a day trip. It's not just for wine snobs and you can learn a lot about your tastes in wine by going on a one day wine tasting outing.
In the United States...
If you're going to San Francisco then heading to Napa or Sonoma is pretty much on everyone's list. But there are wine regions and producers all over the US that are worth checking out such as Long Island and the Finger Lakes that the NY Times article discusses. BlueWine has a reasonable directory of vineyards in the US and worldwide.
Important advice
While it is ok to taste and spill, most people I know who go tasting for the fun of it prefer to swallow. Sample a half dozen wines at a few wineries and you will be feeling it... Make sure you set a designated driver and reward him or her nicely!
Some things to do at a tasting
- If you are enjoying a particular wine, picture a food pairing. If lots of ideas come to mind, then you might want to pick up a few bottles.
- If you're a novice, then I'd recommend trying different types of wine and using the opportunity to discover which ones you favor the most.
- Don't feel bad if you don't buy anything, but if you really enjoyed something, buy it. You'll regret it if you don't.
- Ask for restaurant recommendations!

My main concern is that you can't guarantee every page of your website will be included in the SERPs. Considering I'm constantly adding new products to my company's website, I need to be sure that customers can find them as soon as possible.http://www.seoptimizerz.com
